The Footprint02, the second model in the Footprint line, builds on this foundation with a smaller footprint and an even more accessible price, while maintaining the same uncompromising audio quality and design as the Footprint01. These two models share more than just aesthetics — they both incorporate Barefoot’s signature innovations, including Dual-Force™ opposing subwoofers, dual-ring radiator tweeters, and Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation™ (MEME) technology, originally featured in the flagship MicroMain and MiniMain series.

The Footprint02 mirrors the Footprint01 with side-mounted, dual opposing paper-cone subwoofers, a dual-ring radiator tweeter, and an aluminum-cone midrange driver housed in an aluminum front sub-baffle. Its sleek design, with rounded corners and edges, minimises cabinet diffraction for cleaner sound. The front baffle features Barefoot’s distinctive speaker configuration, with the tweeter positioned below the midrange woofer — an unconventional geometry that enhances acoustic focus at the center of the cabinet.

Internally, the Footprint02 is nearly identical to its larger sibling. It features a 2-way DSP crossover and dual Class D amplifier modules, optimised for its reduced cabinet size, which is approximately 60% of the Footprint01’s volume. Its dual opposing 6.5-inch subwoofers deliver deep, extended bass, making the Footprint02 a powerhouse in a compact form. Despite its size, the Footprint02 embodies all the hallmarks of Barefoot Sound — exemplary sound quality, 3D imaging, and a wide dynamic range.
